On October 27, the Baseball World Series took place at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The Dodgers played the Tampa Bay Rays.

Julio Urias, a pitcher for the Dodgers, made the final pitch that closed out the game and led to the Dodgers winning. It had been 32 years since the Dodgers won a World Series.

When Urias made the pitch to Willy Adames, a player from the Tampa Bay Rays, Dodger players huddled together with excitement because Adames had been struck out. This led to the Dodgers becoming the World Series Champions.

Star Player, Mookie Betts (Dodgers) had scored a home run and also scored which gave a huge boost to the team. Betts is a right fielder and he was awarded the Gold Glove as a right fielder. Astonishedly, it is Betts’ first season playing as a Dodger- this surprised many fans because of his stellar performance.

Mike Zunino, a catcher from the Tampa Bay Rays, dropped the ball, allowing the Dodgers player, Austin Barnes to score.

Blake Snell is a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, the innings that Snell was in to pitch the  Dodgers failed to score. As soon as they took him out, the Dodgers were able to score runs again.

Randy Arozarena, an outfielder from the Tampa Bay Rays, started off the night by making the first solo home run against the Dodgers in the first inning. Even though Arozarena is a rookie, he was able to stand out in comparison to his teammates.

The final score came down to three to one. The Dodgers became really emotional and filled with excitement when the game ended, many players like Justin Turner took pictures with his family on the field. While fans celebrated at Dodger stadium.
